Kansas City born and raised, I moved away after attending college at the University of Kansas. I found my way back to KC to be closer to family. While I may miss the mountains, I no longer miss birthdays and that brings me joy.

I began falling in love with art when I was a child. My grandmother and I would sketch together weekly. In school, I found I also loved math. As I grew up and looked toward college, architecture seemed to be the best fit, combining both of these passions. I graduated with my Masters in Architecture from the University of Kansas in 2011. I began working in healthcare and residential architecture. In 2015 health challenges derailed my career in this rigorous and demanding field. This pushed me to rediscover my love for painting and working with wood.

My interest in graphic design began in college. I started practicing freelance graphic design a few years out of college from logos for clients to fliers for non-profit companies as volunteer work.

I started an Etsy shop in 2014 and this past year expanded to craft shows. My whole business is Kansas City based, creating every product from resources I find locally. Most items have begun as a gift I was creating specifically for one person, but secretly wanted one for myself.

Some of my favorite things include tacos, margaritas, walks in the park, any dog I meet, cooking with my boyfriend and my adorable nieces and nephews.

Tell me what it is you plan to do with your one wild and precious life.”
